human race

as usual, it takes me a while to quiet my mind so I can hear millie.  the first image I get is a race car, kind of cartoonish, all leaning forward with swoosh marks showing how fast it is going.

"you are all so focused on the *next* thing.  it leaves you no energy for now, it makes it so difficult for you to be present in the moment.  stop the car.  get out and sit in the sun.

you are focused on the lack, what you don't have.  focus instead on the abundance, what you have."

she shows me children playing on a swing set, free and happy, totally present.  how did we lose that?

"competition.  it becomes a race.  you are trained that way.  grades.  money.  houses.  cars.  boats.  jewelry.  it never ends, there is no finish line and no winner -- only losers.

quit the race.  step into *your* life.  be present.  that's where happiness is.  within.  be still.  be quiet.  be you.  be love.  don't forget the love."

thank you, millie.
